Deep Field Brass and Sterling Teardrop Earrings

Hand forged and fabricated in sterling silver and brass, these earrings has been given an oxidized finish to accentuate the hammered details.

The Deep Fields are a series of photographs taken by the Hubble Telescope that reveal the most distant galaxies ever observed, and give clues as to how the universe looked when they were first forming. Each hammer hit represents a galaxy – a clue to understanding how the universe evolved.

The pieces are inspired by these images and by the idea of our ever-changing horizons, both as we physically move through the world, and as we gain new personal vistas to challenge and change our own relationship to it.
